Julie Nottingham

Julie Nottingham serves as the Executive Director of Youth Inspirations Theatre (YIT). She is the driving force behind the organization’s mission to enrich, empower and engage young artists through performing arts experiences. Julie’s strong background, which includes a Bachelor of Music in K-12 Vocal/General Music Education from Butler University, plays a pivotal role in shaping the artistic vision and strategic direction of YIT.

Julie is known for her captivating stage presence, powerful vocal abilities, and dedication to fostering artistic growth in others.  With a passion for the performing arts that ignited at a young age, Julie has pursued the world of music and theater, where she has made a significant impact as a performer, educator and an advocate for the arts.

Prior to her serving as Executive Director, Julie garnered extensive experience in various capacities including performing in professional theatre, theme parks, cabaret theatre, choral church ensembles and solo work, and community theatre. She has performed in numerous venues including Paramount Theater, Beef and Boards Dinner Theater, American Cabaret Theater and much, much more. Julie’s principal focus has been that of a music educator. She has directed numerous productions and facilitated workshops that inspire students of all ages to find their voice and explore their creativity.  Julie’s engaging teaching style, ability to connect with students and dedication to mentorship have earned her a reputation as a nurturing leader in the field.

Under Julie’s leadership, Youth Inspirations Theatre has experienced significant growth and innovation. She has implemented a wide range of programs designed to foster artistic development, including musical theater productions, vocal and instrumental education along with collaborative projects that encourage cross-disciplinary creativity.  Julie’s vision for YIT emphasizes inclusivity, ensuring that every student feels valued and empowered to participate, regardless of their background or experience level.

In addition to her performance and educational responsibilities to her students, Julie also over sees all the administrative aspects of YIT. She actively advocates for the importance of arts education in the lives of young people. She believes that engagement in the arts fosters essential life skills, including confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking.  She facilitates opportunities for parents to actively participate in the YIT family encouraging a community environment.

Julie Nottingham’s unwavering dedication to youth empowerment and performing arts education has made a lasting impact on a community of countless young performers. She continues to inspire the next generation of artists, enriching the lives of those around her through the beauty of performing arts.
