AUDITIONS

Auditions will take place at YIT’s studio. You may choose to audition on Monday, June 16 from 6pm-8pm or Tuesday, June 17 from 6pm-8pm. 

During the audition you will have the opportunity to sing a 32-bar or 60 second cut of a song of your choice that shows off your best performance skills. After everyone has had the opportunity to sing, actors will be asked to cold read with show material.

Everyone should plan to stay for the full time; however, you may be dismissed early if the directing staff is confident they have what they need.

During your audition, make an impression on the directing staff by showing off your best self while having fun! 

This cast will be limited to 30 participants. Your audition is only used to determine your role(s) in this production. The participation fee is $200 per person.

A small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and hefty doses of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.

Boasting a score with chart topping songs, a book by a visionary playwright (John-Michael Tebelak) and a feature film, Godspell is a sensation that continues to touch audiences.
